We are thrilled to announce that Sapphire Howell, otherwise known as adult superstar Elsa Jean, has joined the Thrissle family as our new contributing editor!
Known for her showstopping figure and heavenly blue eyes, this actress/model is a mega-influencer and entrepreneur with multiple businesses under her belt. She also co-hosts the Heartbreakers podcast with her friend and manager, James Maas.

Howell’s new role is part of her transition from adult industry darling to mainstream superstar. Though she enjoyed working in the industry, she decided to go mainstream because she knew she could build her brand into a multimedia powerhouse.
“I took a break from the adult industry for personal reasons but ultimately decided to retire because I was bored and frustrated with the STD testing system.That’s when I decided to go mainstream so I could do something bigger.” says Howell.
Since going mainstream, she’s inked several lucrative partnerships and started an NFT collection. She will also grace the cover of Glamour Bulgaria in the coming months.
Now that she’s made Thrissle her new home, she has also added “writer and editor” to her long list of roles.
“Sapphire is just what Thrissle needs to take our magazine to the next level,” says Jackie Backman, creative director for Thrissle. “Not only is she a fashion icon, but she’s also an expert in what our audience loves to read about, including lifestyle, beauty, sex, and relationships. We can’t wait to watch her flourish as our new contributing editor,” she adds.
So, what’s next for Howell besides her new stint as a lifestyle magazine editor?
“I would love to do more fashion modeling, find more ways to be creative, and start my own makeup line,” says Howell. “I’m just scratching the surface of what I can accomplish in the next five years and beyond!”
